grrrr
the company i bought my board from includes a utility to change the processor speed but it does not work.I need to lower the clock speed which is being reported as 1210mhz and should be 1100mhz. I'm scared to run a bios update because the system shuts down at 60 deg. c. and gets to at least 52 pretty quickly. I'm currently running win 98 and would like to know of a good and free and downloadable software to do this...not easy tune 3. thankyou

Which motherboard do you have? You should be able to use the features in the bios to change the speed etc.

You could try www.tomshardware.com (http://www.tomshardware.com) ??? to see if they have any utilities you could use.

A little overclocking wouldn't hurt as long as you have a good quality heatsink and fan.

You could try ??? www.cluboverclocker.com (http://www.cluboverclocker.com) as they may have something to help and they also have question forums.
