Does anyone know where to get the drivers for this and the programs related? I looked at some sites that made no sense at all. I am running linux-mandrake 8.0 :)

um the driver is kernel module emu10k1. As for software, the apps that you have in windows for the card don't exist in linux.

I have the same card. The card should have been picked up and recognized during your Mandrake install. I had no problem with it and I have Mandrake 8 also.
As far as I know, the programs included on your Creative install disk are not available in Linux. Have you tested your sound in Mandrake? Does it function ok? If it does, then most likely the card is configured ok.

I've had a problem running my 4 speakers with the Live! card. The problems seemed to be fixed now that I reinstalled some packages...it looks like I was missing some stuff...... 4 speaker support WORKS!

As far as apps....KDE has build in apps but they are not like the ones under windows....
none of that change the sound types from echo to reverb. NOT YET but soon......
