Nvidia OpenGL Problems

Hi, I'm running debian sid, just did a fresh install and dist-upgraded to sid. I got kernel 2.4.5 running, got all the modules and stuff...got nvidia-kernel stuff working I can get into X, 2d works fine, glx I'm pretty sure I installed right unless the deb files are f00ked...and glx works fine as root but I can't get 3d accel to work as user. I can't run tuxracer, q3a, glxinfo..nada. It seg faults on tuxracer and glxinfo and gives me signal 11, exiting for q3..and I'm totally lost. If someone could help me that'd be great.

I had a similar problem, I could use tuxracer as root but not as myself. Turns out that I needed to change the attributes on a file. I am not on my box so I can't remember the exact name, but it was something like nvidia0 and I think it was in /dev. Once I chmod 777 it worked fine. Hope this helps, and maybe someone who has a little more of a clue can be more specific than me.
