can any of the linux pdas run regular linux files? By this i mean, can they run my audio programs? Ideally i want a pda that can run synth programs and I am curious if this is the way to do it.

I don't know of any that run on the x86 architecture. The Yopy, for example, runs on StrongARM. Which means that you'll have to either find a StrongARM binary of the program you want it to run, or download the source code and cross-compile for StrongARM. toypiano 06-17-2001, 04:52 PM i was thinking yopy helio or any of the ones out there. I am sorry i am total newbie. DOes that mean it could be done or that it is intense and unlikely? todd Craig McPherson 06-17-2001, 05:45 PM Most Linux software should compile clean on StrongARM. Debian has an entire StrongARM distribution. You might want a little experience with compiling software, dealing with libraries, and understanding system architectures first. toypiano 06-17-2001, 08:14 PM thanks that helps :) now all i need is experience and some money... todd bdg1983 06-18-2001, 07:38 AM now all i need is experience and some money Both usually require hard work. ;) We would be happy to help you to acquire the experience.
