i put together my new alr 7210 dual processor (750mhz p3) 512mb ram u2w 9gb u2w scsi 6x scsi burner (running off pci card) comp. Turn it on, works everything great. It doesn't see my drvive though and something is wrong with my floppy. I turn it off. I go to the restroom. It turns itself on??? I hear someweird siren noise run over and throw the switch as rthe on off button is not functioning.Any clue what is wrong? I took out my secvond sci drive now to resolve possible scsi num,ber conflicts. I am going to pull everything and plug it all back in. I did that with my processors power cable and pci cards now i will try it with the rest. THe power supply doesn't even buzz like it does when yhou plug things in wrong.

Obviously some hardware is causing the 'siren noise'. I would do as you already suggested, pull everything out and verify ALL the connections are correct, SCSI id's and cards seated properly.

Is your power supply sufficient for your hardware?

ok things are getting strange. My pc speaker wasn't plugged in (even if it was it has one wire cut so wouldn't work, i unplugged reseated etc nothing changed. The motherboard has a 24pin powersupply, but it supports a 20 pin, which is what I have. On my previous motherboard and stuff, the same thing was happening, siren noise and it wouldn't turn on (preceeded by freezing) , any clues?
