Im just wondering if there is a glide driver for the diamond s540. If you could point me in the direction of a webpage that has drivers or support id apreciate it very much. Im trying to get unreal tournament to work, and I dont have any 3d support drivers for my video card.

Well I'm almost positive that the card you mentioned does not run on a 3dfx chipset so the of course there won't be any glide drivers. what you need to do is find out what chipset it does run on and then see if there are gl drivers for it. Actually I would guess you are SOL cause I think the only cards at this point with 3d drivers are nvidia 3dfx matrox an ati.

That would be the Savage4 chipset. I had the S540, but sold it recently although it worked fine with my distro. Needed a card with DVD acceleration, so I got the Matrox G450.

I seem to remember some mention of Linux drivers at www.diamondmm.com (http://www.diamondmm.com) although they might not have been for the S540.

Well if it was the savage4 chipset I know for a fact that the first release of X 4 had no drivers for it. the current release definately had 2d accelerated drivers but I don't think any 3d acceleration exists for this chip yet I may be wrong on this account though I have moved my savage chip over to my windows box so I haven't been following the drivers recently.
