Hi

i have a little problem, i used to use my ps2 mouse with linux but it broke so i bought a usb logitech trackball, one slight problem, i can't move the curser in KDE to tell linux that i have a usb trackball. Can anyone tell me how i can change or get to the right file to tell linux that my mouse has changed to a trackball.

Cheers

You kind of jumped the gun on the USB trackball. They are pretty well supported in the new kernels, but you have to have it compiled in or available as modules. Stuff like basic USB, core input and device specific drivers. You can do it from the terminal, but you'll have to use make menuconfig instead of the fancier xconfig.
