Hey there everyone. I finished installing red hat on my pc yesterday and i have a serious problem with x-windows, it crashes everytime i try to start. Does anyone have the SiS 6326 3D AGPhantom LINUX driver? could anyone tell me why it can't be probed auto by linux? Is it because it's agp?
Any help would be greatly appreciated (i'm a newbie).

No problems using AGP. Most do.
Did you search for your card at www.xfree86.org (http://www.xfree86.org) to see if it's supported and what version of X to use?
You could also search for your card at www.google.com/linux (http://www.google.com/linux)

Sounds like you need to upgrade your version of X. I have an OEM card that uses the SiS 6326 chipset and I had the same problem with X crashing every time I would try to start it. The problem was due to X not having support for the chipset built into their servers.
I'd recommend getting at least version 4.0 of XFree86 and install it. Red Hat 6.2 and later have support for the chipset in their included versions of X. You didn't say which version you installed, but X runs ok on my machine under Red Hat 6.2 and 7.0. Only thing with my video card was that I couln't get 32 bpp resolution on the display, but 16-bit is perfectly acceptable.
