Ok, this is a little off the wall, but for PCMCIA netowrk cards, does it really matter who makes the dongle for it?
Example I have a 3Com card, and a Linksys dongle, should that work?
My believe is a dongle is a dongle is a dongle is a dongle.........
But who am I to assume..

Well, if the plugin part fits the card, and if it happens to wire the exact same, then yah, it should work. Personally, I prefer not to loose the dongle to begin with http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif

Well, I have Netgear and a D-Link Network card and the dongles for both card work interchangeably. It must be a standard part. I have even seen the dongles being sold separately at some local computer stores.
