Hey everyone, I know, two posts in a night. that's probably two too many for some of you.
Oh well. The problem in short:
Soon we will be getting @home cable modems in our area (yes, i read the howto on www.linuxdocs.org (http://www.linuxdocs.org) and the @home thing). We are first going to hook up our windoze box, and once i build it, my Linux box. Problem is, I have two choices on Linux-compatible Network cards:
the Netgear FA-311
or
A Linksys (? I believe) card that comes with TurboLinux (vers. unknown), but i already have RH 6.1.
They're both 10/100 cards and they both can be bought (for me) locally for $20.
So, which one, as they are both Linux-compatible? And what version and how new is the TurboLinux?

P.S. Is Gabber/Jabber (the ad was wierd) any good, as i have AIM, ICQ, and MSN Messenger account?

Thanks for the info. I think i will go with whatever one is more convienient, when I need one. It will probably end up being the Netgear though, as we are always at the store (fred meyer....).

D-Link 530TX works better than my 3COM and was just as easy to install! Also it is $19 or less here in San Diego...

I've had no problems with the 3Com or the Allied Telesyn (provided by @HOME). Both work fine, except the Allied is 10 where the 3Com is 10/100...
