Okay my friends...
I am planning on building a new computer (I have the case, a 4GB hdd, a disk drive, and a CD-ROM drive, gonna get a mobo soon, very soon). I plan on using an Esoniq AudioPCI. Can, and if yes, how do i hook up the stereo to the sound? I don't want to run out and buy a Spin-60 set of speakers cause I am a cheapo, cause we got a nice (SONY!), venerable stereo.
Secondly, What is the difference between an AMD approved Power Supply and a regular Power Supply? I got a case and it had a 300 Watt Power Supply in it and it's not amd approved. I just wondered cause i plan on building a Duron system (Cheapness...)
One more question: I have a 4MB PCI Matrox video card that I had in my old system. I want to know if i can use it if i have an AGP slot.

Heres all I can say; intead of that card get an SBLive Card, or a creative card that has the Emu10k1 chipset. Also, you can use your pci card in an agp enabled mobo, but you may have to mess around in the BIOS. Good luck

I would love to be able to get a SBLive card and I know i can find them online, cept the one prob is...Birthday! I can't afford a SBLive X-Gamer or MP3+ for the $100. I can hardly afford a cpu+fan.
Thanks, though, for the PCI card thing. That'll be useful, cause I won't buy another card till summer and prolly not then, cause I wanna replace the Hard drive and CDROM with a 20GB hdd and a CDRW. Would the on-board sound on a MSI K7T Pro (AC '97 audio, and the best local store only has Pros.) be worth the time it would take to set up, or would it even be faster to set up?

for the speakers, you can pick up an RCA dongle, for about $1 at Radio Shack, plug it in where the speakers would, then run RCA's to the Sony, put it on something like AUX or Tape if you dont use it, then fire it up.. Thats how I have mine, with a SB Live and it gives me no problems and sounds good too....
