so i logged into the actual console today and see this 2 or 3 times while working...

hda: irq timeout: status=0dx0 { BUSY }
ide0: unexpected interrupt, status=0dx0, count=5
ide: reset: success

what the fsck can that mean?

I have no clue... It looks like your IDE hard disk is timing out during busy CPU cycles or something... But I don't think its very good. What's your load average like around the time when you get those warnings?

i don't think it's doing anything crazy. when it was happening the other day i think it was pretty low.
