App can't open sound card

I downloaded and installed a radio program, but when I start the program the message
'can't open card' appears, what do I do?
I have checked the autoconfig and the card is detected- it plays a voice that tells me the card is configured.
running Man 7.2
intell pentium 111
C-media soundcard
Brooktree capture device
128 ram

Do you need to define the sound device in a configuration file for the radio program to use. Perhaps the program doesn't detect the sound card by itself.

Does the radio program have a setup/configuration program? If not, then check the directory it's installed in for a file with a extension of '.conf' and see if there is a line to define your soundcard.

I'm just guessing here. If your soundcard works already, then I would think it's just a matter of setting up the radio program.

Any documentation with the program that tells how to configure?
