I recently messed up. (lack of sleep)

i'm still learning and one thing i need to learn is how to fix this.

I had one NIC in the RH 6.2 box.. I shut down the box and remove the one and replaced it with 2 diff cards...

how do i remove the physical config of the old ones and replace it with the 2 new.

At this moment it is not seeing but one card and the other does not exist to it..So basicly would like to start from scratch and add the 2 new.

Use linuxconf to configure the two new NICs. No need to "uninstall" the previous NIC like in Windows. Just use the network configuration utilities to configure the two new NICs as eth0 and eth1. You'll need to know what drivers your NICs need (e.g., tulip). Assuming you're setting up an Internet gateway, read the How-tos on IP-Maquerading. An easy-to-use firewall/gateway configurator is Easychains-1.5. You might find it easier than scripting your own masquerading and firewall rules.
