I've got two ATA66 harddrives, and a CUSL2 with an onboard ATA100 controller. One drive is running Win98SE(for games), the other is running RH7. Both drives are set to UDMA4 in the BIOS, and I know the drive running Win98 is running at ATA66, but what about the drive running RH7? How can I tell how fast the drive is running? Do I have to change any settings to enable ATA66? Just wondering, thanks for any help.

You should see the rate your drive is set to when the controller bios initiates at boot. Then look at the kernel recognizing the drives it should say UDMA(66) when scanned.

You can also run hdparm -Tt /dev/hde to see the transfer rates for you drive(s)...Hope this helps.
