Soundblaster live...garbled sound

SBLive, RedHat6.2 The bootup appears to be running smoothly, I have the emu10k drivers, soundconfig recognizes the card, but when I test the sound, it is terribly garbled. What could the problem be? I'm not sure where to begin looking. Any pointers much appreciated.

Hmm... I'm afraid I don't have any idea. Make sure that things are configured right, and that if emu10k1 is built as a module, that you're loading it and everything else required....

Did you download the latest drivers? If you did I am not sure, try a different days snapshot.

Instead of using modules, maybe you can compile it directly into the kernel. just my $0.02
