Over the weekend, I raided my basement and found 3 NIC's, 2 sound cards, and a video card. I would like to toss a few of these into a P133 running FreeBSD and set up a router for my cable modem. My problem is that I can't figure out what models/brands these cards are. They are all ISA cards, and my Winderz machine doesn't detect them when I plug them into that machine, so I am guessing they are not plug 'n play devices. I also looked for an FCC ID on the cards, so I could identify them that why, but these don't have any FCC ID's.

So, does anybody have any ideas as far as what I can do to identify these cards so that I can get the right drivers for them. Or, are there some generic drivers that might work?

By the way, I don't have the FreeBSD machine up and running yet, so I'm not sure if FreeBSD might be able to identify them. My RH 7.1 box couldn't, so I doubt FreeBSD will.

Thanks!

Mmmm see what it says on the chips? Is there a name on the board (green).

Another way is to probe the cards with all ISA NIC modules available (prob. around 20 or so). It's not really handy, but it could be a sollution.

What is on the IC's ? are these PNP cards or the good ole ISA where address and IRQ need to be specifed?
