Is there anyone who has had ANY experience in setting up & using Aironet wireless ethernet cards under linux? Im having a few problems getting mine to 'associate' with other cards. The card is a "CISCO AIRONET 340" and im using Debian (Sid).
ANY help would be great! :)

Im sorry i crossposted. It wasnt on purpose- my mozilla crashed BEFORE i got a chance to click 'add topic' or whatever it is. i wasnt sure if my first msg had been posted and i didnt really have time to check. it was an honest mistake.

I'm sure it was a honest mistake.
Did you get the help you needed from the other post as I noticed a few had posted there?
No wireless devices myself, though I have seen wireless support options while compiling the kernel.

Thankyou very much for asking :) Yes i did manage to get it talking to 3 other cards, and its all working fine! There is one thing thats still a bit puzzling though; ive set the IP, its talking to other cards fine, but for some reason it keeps repeating 'IP UNASSIGNED' when obviously it couldnt be unassigned because its working fine! Nevermind- im just glad its finally working!

Glad to hear it. Enjoy...
If you have the time, I'm sure others would appreciate if you write a little something about how you got wireless to work and post it in the 'How I did it' forum. Just a thought.

Thats what i was planning on doing- as soon as i figure out exactly how i did it! It was one of those times when id spent many hours trying to fix it, and after ive been working on the same thing for 5-6 hours....my mind tends to get a little foggy :) I basically know what steps i took to make it work, but im definately gonna double check it before writing a NHF!!
