I have 2 CD Drives. :)One is a CD-ROM/DVD and the other is CD-ROM/RW. :) Here is the problem, when I go to play audio CD's they don't work. I have configured the sound card. When I try to mount the audio CD I get an error message that reads "mount: wrong fs bad, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, or too many mounted file systems." What do I do to correct this. I don't really want to take out one of the CD-ROM drives.

You are not supposed to mount audio cd's as they do not have a actual filesystem that can be mounted.
If you have autorun or whatever it is enabled on the cdrom, then it should automatically start to play using whatever player is associated with it.
I never play audio cd's on my pc myself, but I do know you do not mount them.

Well even if I don't mount them...the stupid thing never plays the audio CD. Yes, I have the sound turned up.

When you insert a audio cd, does any application popup?
If not, then possibly the autorun feature has not been enabled.
Now since I don't what what distro you are using and what desktop, I can only go by mine. In KDE 2.2 Control Center under Peripherial and CD-Rom, there are options for Audio CD's - Play on Insert.
Do you have anything like that?

I had the same thing. I have redhat 7.1 with auto run feature and all. When I popped the music CD in, nothing happened. When I opened a CDplayer, it said "not matching CDDB found". What happened?
Actually, the gnome CD player worked but when I tried the kde cd player, it did not work. Maybe I just did not know how to configure it?

The autorun feature works fine. My porblem is getting sound from the sound card. I have run soundconfig already. That went fine. What is the deal with the CD-ROM. I am using Redhat 7.1.
