Support for Intel P4 Genuine motherboard

Hi,does somebody know when new Intel motherboard will be supported through Linux distributions. And how can I find out about it? I bought a new machine with this motherboard and I would like to try Linux ASAP, since I heard a lot nice but also challenging things about it. I am thinking about starting with Mandrake because of simple installations. Any ideas? Thanks

i say d/l mandrake, install it and see what happens. you worried about integrated vid/sound/other working, or just if it will work in general?
