Netgear FA311 and Slack 8.0

ive got some experience with redhat and mandrake, but im relatively new to slack, and im trying to set up my Netgear FA311 nic. ive tried everything i can find on this forum and nothing has worked. the natsemi driver gives loads of errors and so does the one that comes with the card :(

I may not have anything to say about the FA311 you want to hear. I know others say different, but I could never get it to work right with linux, so I left it to a windows box where it does fine and got a different NIC for my linux box on the advice of a friend. Now I have no problem with sharing a winmodem or using Samba, including printing from windows on a printer in linux.
