USB Problem!!

I have just installed Mandrake 8.0 and i'm having a few problems with my 2 USB devices. One is a scanner (hp scanjet 2200c) and the other is my modem (Diamond Supramax 56k USB).
Is there anybody who could spend a little time by explaining how i can get these devices to work? If it is possible at all!!

There are a few that are not on the list, but those usually are in only the beginning stages of support and use special programs to get to work.

should have all the information necessary to get usb devices working

I do have some bad news, likely your modem won't work, as one of two models is definately a winmodem, the other is unclear if it is or not.

There seems to be no information about the HP scanner.
