Sound Blaster Live is dead

I cant get my sound blaster live work. When i go into sound config i get the following message

The Following error occurred running modprobe program:

Check to see if PnP OS is set to "disabled" in your BIOS. I would do that first.

are these the modules from opensource.creative.com or stock drivers? What does a brute force insmod emu10k1 give you and how is the file /etc/modules.conf look in this area?
