NEC Versa SX

I really want to get Linux running on my laptop but I can't find any info on the refresh rates of the screen and everything that I use seems to give me a blank screen.

Oh.. here's the kicker... NEC's support response!! ....

" NEC Does not support the Linux OS. I suggest you check the Linux Web site for any support they can give you. "

Thought that NEC would have online documentation/manuals for their products.

Have a look at http://www.linux-laptop.net/ for your laptop. There is a link for NEC and I did see one the the Versa SX/440.
