New inkjet printer......... suggestions?

I want to buy a new inkjet printer. Looking to spend up to $300.
Must do photo printing reasonably well.
Must be Linux compatible.
Suggestions?

The Lexmarks work well in Linux.

I've just installed Caldera's OpenLinux 3.1 Workstation Beta on one of my work PC's for testing purposes and was impressed by the amount of printers listed during the install. Especially the Lexmarks as we use the T614 Laser through our Novell Network.

Remember seeing quite a few of their inkjet printers listed which to me would show that Lexmark is providing drivers for the linux community. Of course HP and Canon are also well supported.

The Lexmarks work well in Linux.

The Z31 does not work very well. I could force it to print text, but it really is not suitable for use in Linux.
