can some one please point me in the correct direction (or if you know the answer please tell me) what speed and brand this processor is: x86 family 6 model 8 stepping 6

Pentium Pro/P2/P3, or a amd chip with similar instructions on it.

I think it might be using the coppermine core. Either Cel 2 or PIII I believe. Not sure of the speed though.
