I have an E-Machines eMonster 600 that I want to do a RAM upgrade in. The motherboard info off of the E-Machines site is as follows:

Napoli-2 Micro ATX (STX V1.2 form factor) motherboard, TriGem, Korea Single Edge Contact Cartridge design with Slot 1 connector Intel 443 ZX core and ITE8673F Super I/O controller

I have not been able to find any additional info on the web. I would like to put in one 256 Meg chip, but do not know if the motherboard will recognize it. I would appreciate any help from someone who has attempted this upgrade or who knows where I can find the necessary info on the mobo.

From what i've found your system supports 256mb max.It comes with 64mb standard, is that right?

Check crucial's site for more info, here is the url for your model http://www.crucial.com/index.asp?model=eMonster+600&x=13&y=14
.You can try also emailing them with your with your system specs for more details.Hope this helps.

You should have gotten a booklet with your eMachine that will tell you how much you can upgrade your memory. However 256M of SDRAM should work fine.

All I did was add another 32M for a total of 64M in my wife's eMachine. All she does is email, genealogy, and games so that'll do her fine.

What in the world possesses you to put $200 RAM in a $600 machine?
