there are no problems printing from the windows machine or other windows machines on the network. Any info would be appreciated. Please reply if you need more info on my machines.

Typical WindowsXX performance.

Have you tried stopping all the tsr programs (EndItAll will do it) and then printing?

TSR=Terminate and Stay Resident ie, they are in memory. With Windows various unfixed memory leaks and all the neat software you installed using tsr, Windows BSODs.

Windows gives you this cumbersome way of stopping these (you do know the 3 finger salute, I presume control-alternate-delete, if you use Windows, learn it well)? That brings up the task list and you select the task you want to stop and do it over for each one.

"What are those mysterious programs and why does my computer crash when I close them" you ask"

That's why I recommended EndItAll. Search for it in a Windows shareware download site and use it. Heard of Google?
