VMware? Oh yeah. Quake2/3? Maybe. Email and web browsing? Not likely. Do you often find that your swapfile is being used (for more than a couple of megs for more than a couple of seconds)? If so, a RAM upgrade will help. Mr Hatt 12-18-2000, 12:25 AM I went from 128 to 384 w/Drake 7.2 and it runs really sweet. I haven't seen Gkrellm tell me that I have used a swap file at all, and I have even compiled Wine without swapping to the drive. I own the Linux versions of SOF and Quake3, and the load times got much quicker. Linux is good with memory management, the vfat (just for Half Life I swear) portion of my hard drive reacted much better to the memory upgrade cause Windoze memory management sucks. Bakala2000 12-18-2000, 12:28 AM Does Wine do a good job cause there are some stuff i need to install on my computer? justlinux.com
