Hey all, I am thinking of getting an AMD chip, and I was wanting to know what Mobo you all would suggest for a socket AMD?

Thanks!

I go with the ASUS A7V...but I don't think that you can go wrong with the Abit KT7 either. The KT7 also comes as the KT7-RAID with built in RAID support.

I built an A7V/Duron 600 box and it screams and it's stable.

Head no over to www.anandtech.com, (http://www.anandtech.com,) then just did a kt133 roundup not to long ago and I believed they reccomended an MSI board. Read for yourself though.

I've heard that the RAID technology built on these motherboards nowadays is worthless. Anandtech's KT133 roundup is a great suggestion plus that's an awesome site.

I own an Abit KT7-RAID mb with an AMD Duron 700, it rocks pretty good!

But seriously speaking, I've very good story's of the MSI K7T Pro2-A, and also good (very good reviews) for the Epox EP-8KTA3 KT133A mb, read about it on this url http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/epox_8kta3/index.shtml http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif
My second pc uses an Epox MVP3G2 mb and it runs very well, not to mention it has great performance and stability for an affordable price like all Epox products.

So I would probably go for Epox or MSI right now.

Just my .02$

My first buy would be the Epox right now, even though I'm still more then happy with my Abit KT7-RAID board, but if I hadn't bought this one....
