purchasing a new box

Hello all,

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy boxes on line?? I have a family member that is in need of a new machine which he has asked my to build. I'm looking for a good place where I could pick and choose a barebones type system to my specs and then add to it if need be later on. Of course I'll be slapping linux on it!!

Sorry 'bout that.
It would be a new machine, name branded parts. Don't need to get a monitor, keyboard, etc. Looking to get a decent machine at reasonable price. We're not talking dual processor, scsi support, etc.

Well if you don't want to build your own check out pricewatch.com for prebuilt systems. i have never had a problem with buying online (know on wood), but then, I have learned from my government and never take low bid. http://www.linuxnewbie.org/ubb/smile.gif
