I believe www.linmodems.net (http://www.linmodems.net) .org have lists of supported modems. Of course any pci hardware modem will work though they do cost around twice as much as their winmodem counterparts. jglen490 05-07-2002, 08:27 AM There are some PCI modems that work with Linux right out of the box. Archtek (http://www.archtek.com/) has a PCI modem (5634PCV?/5634PCW?) that they advertise to work with Linux. I've used their ISA modems in the past with very good results in both Windoze and Linux. jaygee432 05-07-2002, 10:09 AM I have a cheap conexant HSF modem that works fine with slack 8 with a driver I downloaded from their site. FoBoT 05-07-2002, 10:29 AM external serial modems are best for linux in fact, i have one for sale in the hardware trading forum :) $2 off for Gatliffe ;) mychl 05-07-2002, 11:33 AM US Robotics PCI Performance Pro, works great with kernel 2.4+ justlinux.com
