Has anyone got a built-in kernel driver to work with this NIC? The r1000 provided by Realtek is preported to work on some installs. I have an RTL8101/8102 that the r8169 refuses to work on and there is nothing in my kernel (2.7.27.7-smp)that fits.

I've used Puppy in the past...good distro.

Found a driver...the r1000_v1.113 from Realtek's site...works like it was built for it. LOL:D

As I said I got connected, but know I notice that I have to re-establish my pppoe connection after the first initiation as I can't browse or ping untill I do. Once I pppoe-down then pppoe-up again then I am able to resume as normal. I've tried killing ifconfig eth0 and restarting, but that's not the area that seems to be problematic.Anyone down that road before? Hurry before I Google it!:p
