If I go to fluxbox and run this, it goes through repairing data archive, then it runs when its done, if I run it from gnome, it runs for a bit then disapears, so this is the error im getting.

mmills@media-machine ~ $ env WINEPREFIX="/home/mmills/.wine" wine "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -password=XXXXXXX

I don't know what that is but you might have better luck posting this on the forums at winehq.org. Austin watches them like a hawk and seems to know everything about anything.

A bunch of hits on google seem to suggest that this might be due to the frame buffer and/or direct draw mode. You might want to try playing the with the Direct3D registry keys. See this wiki entry:

http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys

You could try different permutations of the keys there.
