SOLVED
latest cedega, everything installed fine, but the gbdb profile doesnt detect the gw cd I add the game folder ( guild wars) browse the program /media/Guild Wars Disk1/setup.exe press install and I get "failed to launch installer process"
not sure what the issue is, the cd runs fine on a win system. :(

You don't actually need the CD to install the game. You can download the installer here (http://www.guildwars.com/download) everything you need will be downloaded from the internet.
For reduced load times after installation, you can run gw.exe -image to download all the game data. That will download all that data from all the campaigns (though you'll only be able to play the ones you've purchased). It's big though; something like 6 gigabytes.
If you're still having issues with Cedega, I suggest either bugging them (hey, you are paying for support, right?) or just trying plain vanilla Wine; Guild Wars works fine in the latter (as long as you don't have an Intel card).

thank you @ jamez1988
I dumped cedega and installed wine/q4wine, then I had to install icoutils to get it to install, but it put a smile on my face when I seen the guild wars connect and download files!
thus it gave me my final reason to leave windows behind.
tyvm you did more than you know.
note: I downloaded the current gw.dat file its like 3.4gig so when I get the game installed I can swap files.
