Best Distro

Hey what is the best linux Distro if one is to opt for linux.

As a first linux distribution, I would suggest a live-evaluation CD distro that has the non-free multimedia stuff already set up. Two that I have used that seem to me to be great first distros are

PCLinuxOS
SimplyMepis

There are many others, such as Linux Mint, but I have not used them.

The nice thing about live-evaluation CDs are that they let you see if your hardware is supported before you install.
