I'm using Fedora 7 on a dell inspiron 8500 with a wireless card containing one of the broadcom chip sets. I had everything working perfectly in Fedore Core 6 before my fresh install, and I just can't figure out how to set the wireless card as something I can connect to the internet through.

I know that the bcm43xx module is now part of the kernel

I've already bcm43xx-fwcutter'd my firmware to /lib/firmware.

I just can't connect using the wireless card. It is not listed under the Hardware in the Network Configuration (system-network-configuration) and I cannot add it (bcm43xx is not listed as an adapter)

I have tried aliasing wlan0 and eth1 to bcm43xx in /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf.dist

still, nothing

nevermind, bcm43xx no longer supports my firmware version (version 3 something), but I got ndiswrapper working. (please see my other thread in this section)
