help linux suse server 10.1 installation

i need to install linux suse server on my dell lap top but during the installation process i am always getting error massage "error 3 : package not found on the media" :confused: :

Are you sure you have a good cd-copy, is this for home, work, school? It sound like you don't have a complete copy, on the cd, just where in the install are you getting this error? A bit more info would help.


Edit: Are you tring to install a LAMP server?

I tried the original cd and I have got the same error and i want to install it on my private laptop. installation error occur in the middle of cd 1 installation
the package name is limal-perl-1.1.6.8.2

Did you download the CDs from opensuse.org or Novell?

if i recall there were many problems with installing 10.1 i would download 10.2 and give that a go

i did not download this cds, it is original cds, I have got them from novell, I am working on a project that use linux suse server and i need to install linux on my private laptop to practise

Yeah, I'd try downloading new ISOs from Novell.

Like I said 10.1 was trouble if you have a good internet connection I would download 10.2 which should work without all the trouble of 10.1 which was a mess MESS TROUBLE WITH 10.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
