Just posting to say hello from LiquidAcid, I am real new here, and would just like to announce that I am going to start spamming this sight with some of the most idiotic and crazy questions - mostly about things that probably shouldn't be done with Linux in the first place, questions that I would really like to know the answers too.
Anyhow - since I only signed up a few minutes ago - I will just say I have so far had a great time on JustLinux forums ;)

There are not-so-crazy moderators ready to shut down crazy threads too.
As far as Linux is concerned if it is technically possible then it can be done. There is nothing crazy about it if the rules and limitations are observed.

Welcome
If you are looking for crazy, do a search (use it alot before asking) and look of the destructive fun with linux thread. It's an oldie, but a goodie.

You know you've been here a long time when you remember nostalgic threads being new.;)
On a semi-related note the cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp trick can be great fun in a quiet computer lab.:D

Hey all - thanks for the welcome :) - I have been making a lot of progress with what I been doing - but have lost sight of my goal - and am trying to get back on track with it again - but I think it is to be expected with the simple fact that I have so many new things to learn on the way ;)
I am going to reinstall Gentoo - make my puter right with that - get it just the way I want - then when I am satisfied - format the whole thing - and remake from source with only what I need - then strip the system of the tools I used to build - right now I am having a ball with the LFS crew and just found the DIY-Linux pages - between that and Slax web site - I got a lot to take in (my temples are on fire :p)
TY again
