things to do in LA - suggestions?

I'm going to Los Angeles soon for a training class, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on things to do while I am there. I don't know how much time I'll actually have to look around, I'll be in class most of the time. I should have at least 1 full day to play tho.

Any suggestions on things that I *must* do/see? I know I would like to:
drive the pch
see the chinese theatre
see the hollywood sign
maybe drive through beverly hills
check out a dodgers game

Eat at either the Stinking Rose (if you like garlic) or Lowrey's Prime Rib (prime rib). Across the street from eachother, La Cienega and close to Wilshire Bvld. Not from there, but I've flown out to have lunch and dinner with my grandparents a few times. ...

I would be surfing , go see a play downtown , eat real Mexican food you dont get that here in Buffalo.

I live here and there isn't THAT many interesting things to do. Get some real mexican food see some of the lil tourist traps. The LA Natural History Musem is alot of fun to check out.

Or you could head over to Compton to kick it with the Homeys. :p
