On my Packard Bell M5 (2.5 Celeron,768Mb ram Intel Xtreme2 graphics) PClinuxOS Tr2. kernel 2.6.18.6 Unless the battery charger is plugged in after "Alsa loading............OK" during boot it stalls, obviously a hal problem(I'm pretty sure hal daemon is next).
Plugged into the mains it's fine.
Booting K/Ubuntu (6.10)doesn't cause this only Mandriva 2007 or PCLinuxOS,the two disrtro's I really want on the laptop!
I've done alot of searching and can't find any answers to this problem, not really a bug as works with the charger plugged in.
Any idea's as need to be able to boot without access to mains power quite often.
