missing threads

ive noticed that sometimes threads dont show up when you go into a forum. i noticed this with one of mine recently in the web section, but also with the games forum. if you do a search for "chess", theres at least 3 threads that dont appear in the games forum when you browse to it:
Chess Games for Linux (Recommendations)
Online Turn based games
looking for a chess game
Shredder chess engine for Linux

and those are just the ones i looked up real quick, im sure theres more. or maybe the threads just dont show up for me - when i go into the games forum i only see three:
Gaming mouse and keyboard
Starcraft + cedega
Nouveau runs glxgears

and how old are those threads you are talking about

change your view settings on the forums, to show threads older than whatever the default is (30 days?)
