The installation problem I'm having is that I cannot get any distro to render anything onto the screen past the bios screen.
This notepad has a GeForceGo 7300 nVIDIA graphics card and all the LiveCD's I've tried (with the partial exception of PCLinuxOS-7676) have not displayed onto the screen. The one that did got me through to a display manager but wouldn't center nor down size to fit the screen. ( I was able to partition the HDD though )
So scratch ~ Knoppix 5 ( their cheat codes didn't assist either )

So I guess I need to remaster a LiveCD ~ any ideas where I ought to start ?
I need to feel confident that what is alleged works, does in fact work on this Notepad. So a LiveCD to test first is preferred.
But I need to start from somewhere - anywhere - 'cause I have no need for WinXP.
