Hello,
I'd like to install Linux on my Mac mini G4 PPC, in dual boot, preferably on a firewire external hard disk, but as I am new to Mac, I don't know all I need about that.
Can you give me some advice about the best distro (Yellow Dog ?) and about a suitable partitioning tool ?
Best Regards
P.S.
Is there the need to make a common partition (FAT 32 ?) for the two different filesystems ?

There is Ubuntu for PPC... just use that. It will have the partitioning tool, etc. all there for you, although I never dual booted my G3 iMac...
