I tried to install Yellow Dog 4.1 on my old blueberry ibook 300mhz G3. The installation appeared to be successful, but I cannot get Yellowdog to boot- I just get a blank screen with a cursor after a series of text booting sequences. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Aaron

No, just a cursor in the upper left corner.

Hmm....sounds like the install is fubarred. Did you first get a grub screen prompting you which os/kernel to boot? What do you mean by "a series of text booting sequences"? Can you give us an example of what it said?

It does the os/kernel boot, then loads the ram disk, then goes blank with the cursor... it just dawned on me that I may have accidentally erased one of the required partitions when I installed the first time... I'm trying right now to reinstall... it's at 89%. Another intersting/helpful note may be that it won't let me use the graphical installer... I have to use the bluescreen installer. If I try the graphical installer, it does the same thing... right after loading the ram disk it gives me an unusable blinking cursor. Thanks for your help!

Ok, now that I have successfully installed yellowdog, I can't make the wireless networking work... I have an airport card installed, which I normally use to connect to my d-link router with security prefs enabled. I also have a Linksys USB adapter that I could use. Can I set up wireless internet? How!?!? Thanks!

Please start a new thread with a good descriptive title for your wireless issues. Tell us what the yellowdog documentation says about setting up wireless, and as much information as you can.
Thanks,
