Iam currently trying to install FEDORA CORE: RED HAT LINUX v10.
The installation process goes ok up until I get to the root password setup. After I enter the password and click next in order to go onto the PACKAGE INSTALLATION DEFAULTS step, the system will stop and an error will occure saying that it could not read the packages.
Iam installing this version of linux onto a COMPAQ PRESARIO: 1255 notebook/laptop which is currently running WINDOWS ME. I want to a full installtion of linux (not dual boot). It has 4 gigs of memory and 512 megs of ram. I will be glad to give more information if anyone who wants to help me out needs more specifics.
