Vector So-Ho 5 internet problems

Hey everyone this morning I did a fresh install of vector SOHO 5 and I'm haveing problems establishing an internet connection. I went under network settings in the Kde menu and found no help there. SO i decided to put a dlink pcmcia lan in the laptop and plugged the cat5 cable in that. Still no luck so if anyne ever had promblems with internet in Vector linux or in a kde enviorment please pass some advice.

Have you googled up any documentation about Vectors treatment of networking? It's pretty similar to Slackware, so I'd point http://www.google.com/linux at some nice dhcp and slackware and networking keywords.
