MPGs and WAVs

I need some help - I'm new at this. How can I play .mpgs and .wav files on my machine? I'm running Fedora 4. Which player should I be using and how do I install the plug-ins I need? Thanks in advance.

Try http://www.mplayerhq.hu. Mplayer should work for just about anything you can throw at it.
