Ubuntu Live Cd Won't load

Downloaded the latest Ubuntu 64 bit live cd. Try to load it up, works till about halfway then my monitor turns off, the powersaving thing and says no signal.

I can still hear my computer loading but after a half hour it doesn't change. The cd seems to be fine otherwise.

Computer specs, Amd Athlon 64 3500+, 512mb ram (more soon, one stick of 512 didn't work), Ati X850, so I shouldn't have any problems loading, that I can see.

try it in failsafe, or perhaps in a simple frambuffer mode..

Try to SSH into your box and do some diagnostics.
