I was concidering changing my processor untill i saw this. The sempron 2800+ =1636.88mhz bogomips : 3235.84.
The duron 1600 =1728mhz bogomips : 3457.64
So which is the faster processor and would I notice any difference?

Here's your answer:

model name : AMD Sempron(tm) Processor 2800+
cache size : 256 KB

model name : Unknown CPU Type
cache size : 64 KB

Go for the bigger cache.

bogomips doesnt really mean anything. The sempron 2800+ is a much better processor.

For more info on what bogomips is and what is usefull for and what it is not, see http://www.clifton.nl/index.html?bogomips.html

Hence the first component of the word: 'bogo'
